Chapter 24 gives the result of the lord of every house placed in every house. These are the twelve for the 4th. The text adds that results come in proportion to the planet's strength (24.145–148), and where one planet owns two houses whose results clash on the same matter, both are cancelled (24.146).
सुखेशे लग्नगे जातो विद्यागुणविभूषितः । भूमि-वाहनसंयुक्तो मातुः सुखसमन्वितः
With the 4th lord in the lagna, the native is adorned with learning and virtue, has land and vehicles, and happiness from his mother.
चतुर्थेश लग्न में हो तो जातक विद्या और गुणों से विभूषित, भूमि और वाहन से युक्त, और माता के सुख से युक्त होता है।
24.37सुखेशे धनगे जातो भोगी सर्वधनान्वितः । कुटुम्बसहितो मानी साहसी कुहकान्वितः
With the 4th lord in the 2nd, the native enjoys pleasures, has all wealth and a family, is honourable, adventurous and given to trickery.
चतुर्थेश द्वितीय में हो तो जातक भोगी, सब धनों से युक्त, कुटुंब सहित, मानी, साहसी और कपटी होता है।
24.38सुखेशे सहजे जातो विक्रमी भृत्यसंयुतः । उदारोऽरुग् गुणी दाता स्वभुजार्जितवित्तवान्
With the 4th lord in the 3rd, the native is valorous, has servants, is generous, free from disease, virtuous, charitable, and has wealth earned by his own arms.
चतुर्थेश तृतीय में हो तो जातक पराक्रमी, सेवकों वाला, उदार, निरोग, गुणी, दानी और अपने बाहुबल से अर्जित धन वाला होता है।
24.39सुखेशे सुखभावस्थे मन्त्री सर्वधनान्वितः । चतुरः शीलवान् मानी ज्ञानवान् स्त्रीप्रियः सुखी
With the 4th lord in the 4th, one is a minister, has all wealth, is clever, of good conduct, honourable, learned, dear to his wife, and happy.
चतुर्थेश चतुर्थ में हो तो जातक मंत्री, सब धनों से युक्त, चतुर, शीलवान, मानी, ज्ञानी, स्त्री-प्रिय और सुखी होता है।
24.40सुखेशे पुत्रभावस्थे सुखी सर्वजनप्रियः । विष्णुभक्तो गुणी मानी स्वभुजार्जितवित्तवान्
With the 4th lord in the 5th, one is happy, dear to all, a devotee of Viṣṇu, virtuous, honourable, and has wealth earned by his own arms.
चतुर्थेश पंचम में हो तो जातक सुखी, सर्वजनप्रिय, विष्णुभक्त, गुणी, मानी और अपने बाहुबल से अर्जित धन वाला होता है।
24.41सुखेशे रिपुभावस्थे मातुः सुखविवर्जितः । क्रोधी चोरोऽभिचारी च स्वेच्छाचारश्च दुर्मनाः
With the 4th lord in the 6th, one is without happiness from the mother, angry, a thief, a practiser of sorcery, acts at his own will, and is ill-minded.
चतुर्थेश षष्ठ में हो तो जातक माता के सुख से रहित, क्रोधी, चोर, अभिचारी, स्वेच्छाचारी और दुर्मना होता है।
24.42सुखेशे सप्तमे जातो बहुविद्यासमन्वितः । पित्रार्जितधनत्यागी सभायां मूकवद् भवेत्
With the 4th lord in the 7th, the native has much learning, gives up the wealth earned by his father, and is like a dumb man in an assembly.
चतुर्थेश सप्तम में हो तो जातक बहुत विद्या से युक्त, पिता द्वारा अर्जित धन का त्यागी, और सभा में मूक के समान होता है।
24.43सुखेशे रन्ध्रभावस्थे गृहादिसुखवर्जितः । पित्रोः सुखं भवेदल्पं जातः क्लीबसमो भवेत्
With the 4th lord in the 8th, one is without happiness of home and the like; happiness from the parents is little; and the native is like a eunuch.
चतुर्थेश अष्टम में हो तो जातक गृह आदि के सुख से रहित होता है; माता-पिता का सुख थोड़ा होता है; और वह नपुंसक के समान होता है।
24.44सुखेशे भाग्यभावस्थे जातः सर्वजनप्रियः । देवभक्तो गुणी मानी भवेत् सर्वसुखान्वितः
With the 4th lord in the 9th, the native is dear to all, devoted to the gods, virtuous, honourable, and has all happiness.
चतुर्थेश नवम में हो तो जातक सर्वजनप्रिय, देवभक्त, गुणी, मानी और सब सुखों से युक्त होता है।
24.45सुखेशे कर्मभावस्थे राजमान्यो नरो भवेत् । रसायनी महाहृष्टो सुखभोगी जितेन्द्रियः
With the 4th lord in the 10th, the man is honoured by the king, an alchemist, very cheerful, enjoys comforts, and is master of his senses.
चतुर्थेश दशम में हो तो मनुष्य राजमान्य, रसायनी, अत्यंत प्रसन्न, सुख भोगने वाला और जितेंद्रिय होता है।
24.46सुखेशे लाभगे जातो गुप्तरोगभयान्वितः । उदारो गुणवान् दाता परोपकरणे रतः
With the 4th lord in the 11th, the native has fear of secret disease, is generous, virtuous, charitable, and intent on helping others.
चतुर्थेश एकादश में हो तो जातक गुप्त रोग के भय से युक्त, उदार, गुणवान, दानी और परोपकार में रत होता है।
24.47सुखेशे व्ययभावस्थे गृहादिसुखवर्जितः । जातो दुर्व्यसनी मूढः सदाऽऽलस्यसमन्वितः
With the 4th lord in the 12th, the native is without happiness of home and the like, has bad habits, is foolish and always lazy.
चतुर्थेश द्वादश में हो तो जातक गृह आदि के सुख से रहित, दुर्व्यसनी, मूढ़ और सदा आलसी होता है।

With the 4th lord in the 4th, or the lagna lord gone there, and aspected by a benefic, declare full happiness of home for the native.

If the 4th lord is in its own sign, its own aṃśa or its exaltation, there is happiness from land, vehicles, houses and the like, and from musical instruments.
