Chapter 24 gives the result of the lord of every house placed in every house. These are the twelve for the 9th. The text adds that results come in proportion to the planet's strength (24.145–148), and where one planet owns two houses whose results clash on the same matter, both are cancelled (24.146).
भाग्येशे लग्नगे जातो भाग्यवान् भूपवन्दितः । सुशीलश्च सुरूपश्च विद्यावान् जनपूजितः
With the 9th lord in the lagna, the native is fortunate, honoured by the king, well-behaved, handsome, learned and honoured by people.
नवमेश लग्न में हो तो जातक भाग्यवान, राजा से वंदित, सुशील, सुरूप, विद्वान और लोगों से पूजित होता है।
24.97भाग्येशे धनभावस्थे पण्डितो जनवल्लभः । जायते धनवान् कामी स्त्रीपुत्रादिसुखान्वितः
With the 9th lord in the 2nd, one is learned and dear to people, wealthy, … and has happiness from wife, sons and the like.
नवमेश द्वितीय में हो तो जातक पंडित, जनप्रिय, धनवान, … और स्त्री-पुत्र आदि के सुख से युक्त होता है।
24.98भाग्येशे भ्रातृभावस्थे जातो भ्रातृसुखान्वितः । धनवान् गुणवांश्चापि रूपशीलसमन्वितः
With the 9th lord in the 3rd, the native has happiness from brothers, is wealthy, virtuous, and has beauty and good conduct.
नवमेश तृतीय में हो तो जातक भ्रातृ-सुख से युक्त, धनवान, गुणवान और रूप-शील से संपन्न होता है।
24.99भाग्येशे तुर्यभावस्थे गृहयानसुखान्वितः । सर्वसम्पत्तियुक्तश्च मातृभक्तो भवेन्नरः
With the 9th lord in the 4th, the man has houses, conveyances and happiness, all kinds of wealth, and is devoted to his mother.
नवमेश चतुर्थ में हो तो मनुष्य गृह, वाहन और सुख से युक्त, सब संपत्तियों से संपन्न और मातृभक्त होता है।
24.100भाग्येशे सुतभावस्थे सुतभाग्यसमन्वितः । गुरुभक्तिरतो धीरो धर्मात्मा पण्डितो नरः
With the 9th lord in the 5th, the man has sons and fortune, is devoted to elders, courageous, religious and learned.
नवमेश पंचम में हो तो मनुष्य पुत्र और भाग्य से युक्त, गुरु-भक्त, धीर, धर्मात्मा और पंडित होता है।
24.101भाग्येशे रिपुभावस्थे स्वल्पभाग्यो भवेन्नरः । मातुलादिसुखैर्हीनः शत्रुभिः पीडितः सदा
With the 9th lord in the 6th, the man has very little fortune, is without happiness from maternal uncles and the like, and is always troubled by enemies.
नवमेश षष्ठ में हो तो मनुष्य अल्प-भाग्य वाला, मामा आदि के सुख से रहित और सदा शत्रुओं से पीड़ित होता है।
24.102भाग्येशे दारभावस्थे दारयोगात् सुखोदयः । गुणवान् कीर्तिमांश्चापि जायते द्विजसत्तमः
With the 9th lord in the 7th, happiness rises through marriage; one becomes virtuous and famous, [and] the best of the twice-born (or: O best of the twice-born).
नवमेश सप्तम में हो तो विवाह से सुख का उदय होता है; जातक गुणवान, कीर्तिमान [और] द्विजश्रेष्ठ होता है (अथवा: हे द्विजश्रेष्ठ)।
24.103भाग्येशे मृत्युभावस्थे भाग्यहीनो नरो भवेत् । ज्येष्ठभ्रातृसुखं नैव तस्य जातस्य जायते
With the 9th lord in the 8th, the man is without fortune, and no happiness from an elder brother arises for him.
नवमेश अष्टम में हो तो मनुष्य भाग्यहीन होता है, और उस जातक को बड़े भाई का सुख नहीं मिलता।
24.104भाग्येशे भाग्यभावस्थे बहुभाग्यसमन्वितः । गुणसौन्दर्यसम्पन्नो सहजेभ्यः सुखं बहु
With the 9th lord in the 9th, one has much fortune, is endowed with virtue and beauty, and has much happiness from siblings.
नवमेश नवम में हो तो जातक बहुत भाग्यशाली, गुण और सौंदर्य से संपन्न होता है, और भाई-बहनों से बहुत सुख पाता है।
24.105भाग्येशे कर्मभावस्थे जातो राजाऽथ तत्समः । मन्त्री सेनापतिर्वाऽपि गुणवान् जनपूजितः
With the 9th lord in the 10th, the native is a king or equal to one, or a minister or an army chief; virtuous and honoured by people.
नवमेश दशम में हो तो जातक राजा या राजा-तुल्य, अथवा मंत्री या सेनापति, गुणवान और जनपूजित होता है।
24.106भाग्येशे लाभभावस्थे धनलाभो दिने दिने । भक्तो गुरुजनानां च गुणवान् पुण्यवानपि
With the 9th lord in the 11th, wealth is gained day by day; one is devoted to elders, virtuous and meritorious.
नवमेश एकादश में हो तो दिन-प्रतिदिन धन-लाभ होता है; जातक गुरुजनों का भक्त, गुणवान और पुण्यवान होता है।
24.107भाग्येशो व्ययभावस्थो भाग्यहानिकरो नृणाम् । शुभकार्ये व्ययो नित्यं निर्धनोऽतिथिसङ्गमात्
The 9th lord in the 12th causes men loss of fortune; there is always spending on auspicious acts; one becomes poor from entertaining guests.
नवमेश द्वादश में हो तो मनुष्यों के भाग्य की हानि करता है; शुभ कार्यों में सदा व्यय होता है; अतिथि-सत्कार से जातक निर्धन होता है।
24.108Now, O Brahmin, I shall tell you the results of the house of fortune (the 9th). With the lord of the 9th strong and in the 9th, the native is fortunate.
