A kundli reading you can check line by line

In short: A kundli reading tests the rules of the classical texts against your birth chart. In horoAstro each result is a verse of Bṛhat Parāśara Horā Śāstra whose condition your chart meets, given in proportion to the strength of the planet behind it — full strength, full result; half strength, half (BPHS 24.147) — and where verses clash, the text's own rule decides: the strongest is the doer (27.38). Every line shows its verse.

Most kundli reports give you conclusions. This one gives you the rule. Every line of your reading names the verse of Bṛhat Parāśara Horā Śāstra it comes from, and you can open the Sanskrit and its meaning in one tap.

How the reading is built

  • All 97 chapters of the text were keyed from the printed Sanskrit and translated; 4,047 verses in all.
  • Each verse that states a rule about a chart was turned into a check: its condition is tested on your chart and marked met, not met, or open (when the text leaves a term undefined).
  • The met results are grouped by the matter they speak of, using the houses of chapter 11.
  • Clashes are settled by the text's own rules, and the verse that settled each one is shown.
  • Each result is graded by the strength of the planet that causes it, as chapter 24 asks.

Strength decides how much

The text is clear that a result comes in proportion to the strength of the planet that gives it. horoAstro computes the six-fold strength of chapter 27 for every planet and compares it with what the text says each planet needs.

With the planet at full strength the result is full; at half strength, half.

Bṛhat Parāśara Horā Śāstra 24.147

Having thus made the sum of strengths, then consider the results.

Bṛhat Parāśara Horā Śāstra 27.37

What is left open

Where a verse uses a word the text never defines, or where two verses clash and no rule of the text decides between them, the reading says so instead of guessing. You see these lines marked as open, with the reason.

Questions

Is the kundli analysis free?

Your kundli and its divisional charts are free. The full analysis of one kundli — every area with its verses, the timing, Gochar and a short summary — is a plan for that kundli, a month or a year; the price, with any introductory offer, is shown on this page.

Is an AI writing my reading?

Only the wording. Each result is a rule of the text tested on your chart, shown with its verse; an AI model puts the results that hold into plain sentences and adds nothing. Tap a line's verse number to read the rule itself.

Can I see the Sanskrit?

Yes. Tap any verse number to read the śloka in Devanagari, its transliteration and its meaning in English and Hindi.
