Chapter 24 gives the result of the lord of every house placed in every house. These are the twelve for the 6th. The text adds that results come in proportion to the planet's strength (24.145–148), and where one planet owns two houses whose results clash on the same matter, both are cancelled (24.146).
षष्ठेशे लग्नगे जातो रोगवान् कीर्तिसंयुतः । आत्मशत्रुर्धनी मानी साहसी गुणवान् नरः
With the 6th lord in the lagna, the native is sickly, famous, his own enemy (or hostile to his own people), wealthy, honourable, adventurous and virtuous.
षष्ठेश लग्न में हो तो जातक रोगी, कीर्तिमान, आत्मशत्रु (अपना या अपनों का शत्रु), धनी, मानी, साहसी और गुणवान होता है।
24.61षष्ठेशे धनभावस्थे साहसी कुलविश्रुतः । परदेशी सुखी वक्ता स्वकर्मनिरतः सदा
With the 6th lord in the 2nd, one is adventurous, famous in his family, lives abroad, is happy, a good speaker, and always intent on his own work.
षष्ठेश द्वितीय में हो तो जातक साहसी, कुल में प्रसिद्ध, परदेशी, सुखी, वक्ता और सदा अपने कर्म में रत होता है।
24.62षष्ठेशे सहजे जातः क्रोधी विक्रमवर्जितः । भ्राता शत्रुसमस्तस्य भृत्यश्चोत्तरदायकः
With the 6th lord in the 3rd, the native is angry and without valour; his brother is like an enemy, and his servant answers back.
षष्ठेश तृतीय में हो तो जातक क्रोधी और पराक्रमहीन होता है; उसका भाई शत्रु के समान और सेवक उलटा उत्तर देने वाला होता है।
24.63षष्ठेशे सुखभावस्थे मातुः सुखविवर्जितः । मनस्वी पिशुनो द्वेषी चलचित्तोऽतिवित्तवान्
With the 6th lord in the 4th, one is without happiness from the mother, intelligent, a slanderer, hateful, fickle-minded and very wealthy.
षष्ठेश चतुर्थ में हो तो जातक माता के सुख से रहित, मनस्वी, चुगलखोर, द्वेषी, चंचल चित्त वाला और अति धनवान होता है।
24.64षष्ठेशः सुतगो यस्य चलं तस्य धनादिकम् । शत्रुता पुत्रमित्रैश्च सुखी स्वार्थी दयान्वितः
One whose 6th lord is in the 5th has unsteady wealth and the like, enmity with children and friends, and is happy, selfish and kind.
जिसका षष्ठेश पंचम में हो, उसका धन आदि चंचल होता है, पुत्रों और मित्रों से शत्रुता होती है, और वह सुखी, स्वार्थी तथा दयालु होता है।
24.65षष्ठेशे रिपुभावस्थे वैरं स्वज्ञातिमण्डलात् । अन्यैः सह भवेन्मैत्री सुखं मध्यं धनादिजम्
With the 6th lord in the 6th, there is enmity with the circle of one's kinsmen and friendship with others; happiness from wealth and the like is middling.
षष्ठेश षष्ठ में हो तो अपने जाति-बंधुओं से वैर, दूसरों से मैत्री, और धन आदि से मध्यम सुख होता है।
24.66षष्ठेशे दारभावस्थे जातो दारसुखोज्झितः । कीर्तिमान् गुणवान् मानी साहसी धनसंयुतः
With the 6th lord in the 7th, the native is bereft of happiness from his wife, and is famous, virtuous, honourable, adventurous and wealthy.
षष्ठेश सप्तम में हो तो जातक पत्नी-सुख से रहित, और कीर्तिमान, गुणवान, मानी, साहसी तथा धनवान होता है।
24.67षष्ठेशेऽष्टमगे जातो रोगी शत्रुर्मनीषिणाम् । परद्रव्याभिलाषी च परदाररतोऽशुचिः
With the 6th lord in the 8th, the native is sickly, an enemy of the wise, desires others' wealth, … and is impure.
षष्ठेश अष्टम में हो तो जातक रोगी, विद्वानों का शत्रु, पर-धन का इच्छुक, … और अपवित्र होता है।
24.68षष्ठेशे भाग्यगे जातः काष्ठपाषाणविक्रयी । व्यवहारे क्वचिद्धानिः क्वचिद्वृद्धिश्च जायते
With the 6th lord in the 9th, the native deals in wood and stone; in his dealings there is sometimes loss, sometimes growth.
षष्ठेश नवम में हो तो जातक लकड़ी और पत्थर का व्यापारी होता है; व्यवहार में कभी हानि, कभी वृद्धि होती है।
24.69षष्ठेशे दशमे भावे मानवः कुलविश्रुतः । अभक्तश्च पितुर्वक्ता विदेशे च सुखी भवेत्
With the 6th lord in the 10th, the man is famous in his family, not devoted to his father, a speaker, and happy abroad.
षष्ठेश दशम में हो तो मनुष्य कुल में प्रसिद्ध, पिता के प्रति भक्तिहीन, वक्ता, और विदेश में सुखी होता है।
24.70षष्ठेशे लाभगे जातः शत्रुतो धनमाप्नुयात् । गुणवान् साहसी मानी किन्तु पुत्रसुखोज्झितः
With the 6th lord in the 11th, the native obtains wealth from enemies; he is virtuous, adventurous and honourable, but bereft of happiness from children.
षष्ठेश एकादश में हो तो जातक शत्रुओं से धन पाता है; वह गुणवान, साहसी और मानी, किंतु संतान-सुख से रहित होता है।
24.71षष्ठेशे व्ययभावस्थे व्यसने व्ययकृत् सदा । विद्वद्द्वेषी भवेज्जातो जीवहिंसासु तत्परः
With the 6th lord in the 12th, one always spends on vices, hates the learned, and is intent on harming living beings.
षष्ठेश द्वादश में हो तो जातक सदा व्यसनों में व्यय करता है, विद्वानों से द्वेष रखता है और जीव-हिंसा में तत्पर होता है।
24.72Now, O Brahmin, I shall tell the results arising from the 6th house — disease, wounds and the like in the body. Listen with attention.
